Students will have a quiz on the states in the northeast region of the USA on October 3. They will be provided a word bank with the state names from the region and be required to match the names with the states. Attached is a practice quiz that is very similar to the one they will be taking in class, as well as a map to study from. To earn a 4, they will also need to name the capitals of at least 4 states in the region.
Here is the homework for the week. We are continuing with fourth grade review. It will be handed out Monday and is due on Friday. Students can work at their own pace- it does NOT need to be brought in each day.
This week will be the first week students will receive homework! Homework is given on Monday and due Friday morning, however, your child may turn it in earlier. The concepts this week are all fourth grade review. If your child doesn't remember how to do something, please have them speak to me! If your child forgets his/her homework at school, please feel free to print the attached files.
Students will receive homework for the entire week each Monday. Unless otherwise directed, homework given on Monday is due Friday the same week.
Students are also expected to read for 30 minutes each night. No parent signature on a log is required. Here are some helpful hints to manage homework and studying for tests:
The kids met Deputy Miller this week and were assigned their first project- to create a poster about resisting drugs and alcohol. Please be sure students have completed them and handed the in to me by 9/14. Here are the directions:
